Although i've never lived a thug life or been a crack dealer this song still is an all time favourite, It represents that i've never been a perfect son and like many of us we've all done stupid things that we've lived to regret, but in the end if it wasn't the stupid mistakes and crazy thing we've done we wouldn't have learned and we wouldn't be the people that we've grown up to be today. Although everything your mother does all the shit she gets you out of never really tell her you appriciate it and you'll miss it even more when she aint there. I want this song played to show even though she won't be there it will be in here memory.

This is a exellent song with amazing lyrics and beutifully produced beats, its a song about all the good times you've had with your family like the holidays you've spent together and the party's you had even though they didn't seem so good at the time you always remember them. It also praises the family members that have supposed you through your chosen route of life and the ones that haven't.

I grew up listen to alot of Greenday through school (probably why I didn't achieve anything) and after about 7 years I still listen to this song and still I never get sick of it, with fantastic lyrics this slow rock song makes it a must have for every funeral weather your a fan or not. It gonna get alteast 95% of the people at your funeral crying.

Although I don't believe Idlewild are as popular as they should be this song is still my 4th favourite song of all time, I'm not exactly too sure what the lyrics are about but I still think American English is a outstading track with a brilliant guitar riff. Not really a song dedicated to anyone in particular just a song I want played.
